ROBIN A. BLEIER, RN, HCRM
Co-owner/Partner

“I have always enjoyed figuring out puzzles and helping others,” states Robin, Co-Owner of Chart Your Own Course, Ltd., Co. d/b/a Care Resources.  "My folks encouraged volunteerism which I did in our local hospital.  So in retrospect, it was no surprise to my family when I chose nursing as my vocation."

My first and still one of my most enjoyable area of health care is eldercare which I experienced while I was in nurses’ training.  I was completing a rotation at a skilled nursing facility.  We were assigned a client that we were to “build a relationship with.”  To my dismay, the patient I was assigned was legally blind and extremely hard of hearing.   I remember thinking, ‘what will I do and how will I be able to communicate?’  To my amazement, instead of a chore, it was a joy.  In a short time we had established a rapport that added to his life and sincerely changed mine, learning how much we need and want choices at any age.”

Robin is a Registered Nurse and a Health Care Risk Manager, working in elder/long term care since 1984.   She is a published author, national speaker and consultant.  A professional passion of Robin’s is to manage the risks elders face so that they have the opportunity to reach their highest level of overall well-being and to maximize their quality of life.  It was this passion that prompted her to join with Joanna M. Davis, to purchase the assets of Care Resources, though their jointly owned entity called ‘Chart Your Own Course, Ltd. Co.’ Robin supports the company as Risk Executive and assists with internal operations.  "I feel very fortunate to have had this opportunity to support and work with so many fine and committed professionals,” Robin adds.  “We have received many letters of warm appreciation about the staff and the quality of their work and the joy that it brings."

Robin also owns a long-term clinical risk consulting company with a separate Associate Team which focuses on facility regulatory compliance, clinical risk management, and pro-active skilled services to support excellence in elder care.  She feels that both companies merge her professional service mission and add to her life.

Both co-owners of Care Resources believe in being involved in professional organizations.  In keeping with this belief, Robin is a published author, national presenter and national elder-related clinical risk consultant.  Her professional commitments, credentials and recognitions include:
