Congratulations to Robin Bleier on her recent appointment as a member of the 2011-2012 FHCA Quality Foundation’s Culture Change Council.
The mission of the Council is to promote the culture change movement in the long term care profession by serving as a resource to educate assist, and support person-directed care in accordance with the vision and values of FHCA in partnership with the Florida Pioneer Network and the Advanced Excellence campaign.
Robin Bleier has been appointed as a member of the 2010-2011 FHCA Quality Foundation’s Culture Change Council by FHCA President Nina Willingham on October 15, 2010. Council members who were selected had specific experience in the culture change movement.
Culture change refers to the national movement for the transformation of older adult services, based on person-directed values and practices where the voices of elders and those working with them are considered and respected. Core person-directed values include: choice, dignity, respect, self-determination, and purposeful living.
The mission of the council is to promote the culture change movement in the long term care profession by serving as a resource to educate, assist, and support person directed care in accordance with the vision and values of FHCA in partnership with the Florida Pioneer Network.
