Our Aging Life Care Professionals assist family members, caregivers, and/or service providers in understanding the often complicated health care, human services and legal issues that are frequently confronted by the aging and disabled population. The Team

Kelli Edwards, MA, CMC
Aging Life Care Professional / Owner
Kelli Edwards has been a certified Care Manager since 1999, and brings more than 30 years of experience in the aging, mental health and disability fields. Kelli has served on the Aging Life Care Association (ALCA), Florida Chapter board and the ALCA Unit for Tampa Bay. She has been honored with the Outstanding Chapter Member award. Currently she is a member Emeritus for the Committee on Aging for the City of Dunedin, after serving as the chair for many years. Her leadership in these positions has helped her to grow as a leader in her local community and the great State of Florida. Kelli has earned her Bachelors and Master’s degrees from the University of Florida and is a third generation Floridian. It is her passion to advocate for her clients and to elevate them to the position of respect they deserve.
Heidi Elpers, BSW, CMC
Aging Life Care Professional
Since graduating from USF in 2004 with a degree in Social Work, Heidi gathered experience in counseling young adults and families in crisis. She swiftly moved into the field of geriatrics after working under the direction of an elder law attorney to build a care management service. She joined Care Resources in 2001 and earned her certification as an Aging Life Care Manager. 15 years later, she continues to provide peace of mind to her clients and their families among a qualified team of certified Aging Life Care professionals.


Mary Womble, BSW, CMC
Aging Life Care Professional
Mary has been an Aging Life Care Manager with Care Resources LLC since 2005. Previously she was employed by CARES, Inc. in Pasco County for almost 20 years in the roles of Case Manager, Adult Day Care Manager, Field Office Manager, and a Home Care Consultant. In addition, she also has experience in medical social service home visits with Medicare. Mary has been on the membership committee for her professional association for two years. She enjoys working as a Care Manager because she makes a positive difference in the lives of others. She has some knowledge of ‘signed English’ for the deaf. She sings on the worship team at her church.
Melanie Fernandez, MA, CMC
Aging Life Care Professional
Although Melanie planned on a career working with children, during her internship at Morton Plant Rehabilitation Center in Belleair, Florida, she connected with the elder population and realized that they were often left without advocates in a health care system that could not provide for all their special needs. After graduating from the University of Florida, Melanie continued her education and obtained a Masters of Arts degree in Gerontology from the University of South Florida. Since then, she has been working as a care manager for Care Resources. Melanie is a member of the Aging Life Care Association and has received certification in care management from the National Academy of Certified Care Managers. She also served as the Florida Chapter: Tampa Bay unit leader in 2009.


Sharon Lena, RN, BA, MS
Care Manager
Care Resources welcomes Sharon Lena to our Team, she is working for Care Resources as a Care Manager. Sharon has worked in the health care field since 1982. Her positions in patient care and in middle management include Registered Nurse, Nursing Supervisor, Director of Nursing, and Director of Home Health Services to name a few. Cindy Rozzi
Business Office Coordinator
Cindy's responsibilities at Care Resources LLC are to manage important aspects of the office including client records, support payroll processing, assist with account receivable and payables, and to assist with technical data. She enjoys making sure our office runs smoothly. Cindy earned a degree from St. Petersburg College in the field of Merchandising and has worked in the financial industry over 25 years. Her areas of expertise include health insurance, taxes, and bookkeeping.


Claudia Cote
Business Office Associate
Claudia is the Business Office Associate with Care Resources LLC. In this role, she supports marketing and business development, manages marketing pieces including the design, writing and distribution of such. She is proficient with many office applications, is Care Resources' web designer and is the backup to the Business Office Coordinator when needed. Claudia’s varied background in the health care services field and technical field from prior positions provides the perfect foundation for her work with us.
